Twenty-five years have passed, but we have not forgotten

Today, County Line Fire Department pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families whose lives were forever changed, the survivors who carry the memories of that day, and the countless men and women who answered the call when our nation needed them most.

We especially remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, dispatchers, military members, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger to help others. Their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness represent the very best of the fire service and of our country.

For those of us who wear the uniform today, September 11 is more than a date in history. It is a reminder of the responsibility we carry—to serve our neighbors, to stand together in difficult moments, and to never take for granted the opportunity to answer when someone calls for help.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember where we were.
We still remember the images.
We still remember the heroes.
We still remember the fallen.

May we honor them not only with our words, but through the way we serve, the way we treat one another, and the way we stand together as a community.

We will never forget.
